I’m Daniel Florez, a wedding and narrative filmmaker and visual artist based in St. Augustine, Florida. I create naturalistic wedding films, mini documentaries and music videos. I film using a mix of formats including digital, Super 8, and 16mm film.

I grew up on the coast of North Carolina, later studying Fine Art at Flagler College. Twas there I fell in love with film photography, painting, the creation process in general, and working from instinct. I primarily studied artists who leaned into texture, imperfection, meaning in the meaningless, and spontaneity. That spirit still shapes my work today.

After over a decade as a freelance photographer working across most of the United States, I shifted my focus fully into video creation, merging my love of movies and stories with my background in still imagery.

Ultimately, I simply enjoy the art of creation and exploring new ideas or techniques.
